Key-points to know

1. Alkaline or higher technology ? Struggling to choose between "Ultra", "Ultimate", "Lithium" for Energizer; or "Plus", "M3", "PowerPix" for Duracell? Both brands have a 'good, better, best' scale, and the order above reflects this. The better the battery, the longer they will last.

2. Need batteries for Digital camera or MP3 player ? Some digital cameras and MP3 players will use AA or AAA batteries. Choosing the better batteries, such as 'Lithium' or 'Powerpix' will allow you to take more pictures and listen to more music - perfect when you are away from a charger.
